- Frame rate refers to the frequency at which consecutive images called frames are displayed in an animated display. Common frame rates for moving pictures in USA are 24 for film and 30 for video.
- MPEG-4 Part 14 or MP4 is a digital format most commonly used to store video and audio, but can also be used to store other data such as subtitles and still images. Like most modern container formats, it allows streaming over the Internet. The only official filename extension for MPEG-4 Part 14 files is .mp4, but many have other extensions, most commonly .m4a and .m4p.
- To download a video from the internet to save for offline use, I use a free program called Apowersoft Video Downloader for Mac. It allows me to type a video URL into the program to download and convert the video for easy embedding into websites and a variety of programs, such as Keynote and GarageBand.
